Post Re: OPMS - Problems
I keep getting 1000 shares of SWNC as a random buy for October of 1969. I dont know why this is happening. Today i typed in: today;sss;15;1000 and i got two buys, SSS and the SWNC. This is the third time that it has happened and I only notice the SWNC because of the date i am supposed to hit my next rank for stock portfolio. :WTF:

Just to report that Portfolio import doesn't work in the Opera browser. I had to log in to IE and paste it from there to get it work, with Opera I get the "portfolio not detected in input" message.

I seem to remember that Opera formats the cut and paste differently. If you could PM me what you get with a copy and paste I may be able to fix it.

I've noted that same when I copy/paste in the "add sales" area and the format is not recognized by the OMPS code. In my case it is due to me pasting from spanish version dates (ene - jan; abr - apr; ago - aug; dic - dec) and not correcting them before sending the data

I seems to have an extra 100 shares in VPTS. I've looked through my list for VPTS and nothing shows buying with an additional 100 shares. Help

They were marked with a data of 31 Dec 1969 (which is year 0 for unix). I made it a more recent date. I also notice that a lot of people have records with this dates. If people don't see a buy or sell, make sure the days box is very large (like 99999) so you go back that far. My guess is that bad dates might get processed that way.

EDIT:

I went in and change the buy and sell list to always show these ancient transactions. (If you want them to just be old give them a slightly more recent date)

That means that you didn't copy the full portfolio over so it didn't find all the markers it needs to identify the portfolio on the page. You need to include the column headers and footers in the copy and paste.

OK, I see what it does differently, now to work on code to parse it.
